The Power of the Fafa.

Some know it as a binky - others a paci. But to me growing up, it was a fafa. And for Kadence the same. It's quite a powerful weapon in my little baby arsenal. It fights against boredom, tears and fussiness :O)

For about a couple months, Kadence has been sleeping thru the night from around 8-9pm to 7-8am the next morning. Occasionally, she'd fight the sleepiness and throw a tantrum if she felt like she was going to miss out on something..but usually the heavy eyelids won. It was complete bliss knowing that I didn't have to get up every couple of hours to tend to her little baby needs. No midnight feedings. No diapers. Nothing.

Until about two weeks ago. *sigh* Now all the sudden, she's getting up thru out the night just to "chat" with who knows who. The little giraffe mobile above her bed. Her tiny little feet. Or perhaps her shadow on the wall. Who knows! *haha* But to say the least, it's exhausting.

But I'm simply amazed at the solution -- her fafa. Plain and simple. She can be screaming at the top of her lungs or gurggling baby noises or giggling with her little tiny squeal..and BOOM, fafa in the mouth and she's out cold like she'd never woken in the first place. *haha* I feel like the fafa's been dipped in a sleeping potion or something. Regardless, I'm still getting up at all hours of the night, but luckily, it's just for the fafa. Wish I could find a way to just keep it in her mouth at night :)
