I'm awful lately on keeping up with these postings. Funny thing is that I'm actually considering starting yet ANOTHER blog for my canning/cooking experiences and trying to run a website with it as well. I've clearly lost my mind, but it's in my heart to do it so maybe it'll help me keep up with posting on this one as well :)
So since the last time, Kadence got to meet a set of her great grandparents a couple weekends ago. It was great! It was my first time meeting them as well and I'd say I did well! They chose to go by Gram and Gramps since we have like 11 grandparent "figures" to give names to. HA Tried to catch some good pictures all weekend long, but as usual she doesn't cooperate anymore. Snapped this one though..
We also discovered that weekend after taking this picture -- I had her upside down tickling her and low and behold, there was a little white pearly tooth peeking thru the top gums. Upon inspection, I found another tooth coming in on the bottom next to the ones she already has. So my poor little baby is cutting two teeth at the same time, but it doesn't seem to phase her. I told Jason we're going to have to dress her like a pumpkin for Halloween since she's going to have a snaggle mouth :) We also had some fairly cold weather again and she got to bust out a new pair of her fuzzy footed PJ's..so adorable!!
She's been cruising a ton lately and she's getting so fast with it! I honestly think she'll start walking in the next month or so. I'm kind of dreading this change, but she is getting so heavy that it'd be nice to set her down sometimes when I'm out :) She's gotten kinda brave a couple times and has let go of stuff and slightly hovered before crashing down to her bottom. And she's been getting into absolutely EVERYTHING lately. It's everything I can do to keep up with her and everything else I have going on!
BTW, fall is in the air and I can't wait till the leaves start to turn and we can roll around in them. I'm just worried that most of them are going to end up in someone's little mouth haha
xo
Decided to revamp my blog and share with family and friends my day to day mommy [mis]adventures and antedotes.

Where Does Time Go?
When did I get so bad at keeping everyone up to date again?! Time flies by lately..and she seems to be getting bigger faster. Don't get too ahead of yourselves grandparents...I'M NOT HAVING ANOTHER ONE. That's why I take pictures everyday..ha..so I can savor this for the rest of my life :)
Hmm, since the last update. Well, we went to the lake again on Saturday -- MeeMaw had to work, so we didn't get out there till almost 2pm and it was amazing and so beautiful! We've found a little secluded spot where we can float in the middle of a little finger off the lake..and we're surrounded by trees and huge hills. It makes me feel as though we're not in Tennessee anymore. It was a little too cloudy and chilly for KK to get in the water, so we corralled her with a cooler and a gate on the boat. Don't think she even noticed that she was missing out from swimming :) We opened the cooler at one point to get some drinks out and she reached in and started playing with the ice. It was too fun watching her to close it back up right away so we let her just pop ice in her mouth and then watched her spit it right out. She probably did that for about an hour before she sat down and started playing with all the melting pieces underneath her. Needless to say, by the end of the afternoon she was soaked! We started heading back around dusk and it was pretty breezy and slightly cold, so we put her in a dry outfit, blanket sleeper with feet and a jacket with the hood up :) Watching her on daddy's lap in the front of the boat on the way back was a good moment to remember!!

Trying some new things in the food world for her -- she still loves her puffs and yogurt drops -- I've been doing a lot of ordering thru Drugstore.com which everyone should check out that doesn't mind ordering stuff online. Free shipping over $25 AND tax free for us in Tennessee..so I've been getting formula, finger foods and other personal items sent to us about every other week -- PLUS it puts $$ in her UPromise account for college. I'm loving it!! Anyways, back to the foods..haha I've been contemplating getting some of the "pouches" of baby food for a couple months now. They seem easier to travel with and they have some really unique flavors. Well, BabiesRUs had a great deal on (2) 6-pack boxes, so I decided to buy some of the Plum Baby brand and I bought the "special" spoon set they had. Basically it's a 2 pack with a travel case that you just screw on the end of the packs and then squeeze and feed :) I got Pumpkin Banana and Broccoli Apple! Figured if she didn't like 'em, I'd eat 'em! But she loves them and they've made eating solids in public so much easier since her and I are always on the go!
On to other news..sorry for that ^ long winded rant up there -- Kadence has a little bit of a cold. She woke up Tuesday night several times screaming and I could tell by her forehead that she had a slight fever and that she had a runny/stopped up nose. The next morning Jason ran out and bought a new thermometer because ours was broken (conveniently) and we finally got a read on what we were working with. She was only at a low 99 degrees..so I made sure I bundled her and babied her all day -- we did a little shopping so she could get some fresh air and I plugged in her humidifer and Vapor rubbed her last night and she slept soundly. She doesn't seem to have much congestion today and her forehead isn't so hot. Thank God, I think we missed another bullet with this one!
Ooo Ooo, real quick before I forget -- I ordered almost 500 prints thru Snapfish this week (I recommend Shutterfly after getting my pictures back btw) and I will be getting pictures out to everyone this next week -- so all the grandparents and great grandparents (and Auntie Amanda and Ruthanne)..be looking in the mail for them :)
Guess that's it for now. Looking forward to this weekend. Weather is starting to get beautiful and Kadence is finally going to get to meet another set of her Great Grandparents tomorrow. Should be fun :)

Long Weekend.
So Jason's grandparents drove in from North Carolina, so we spent the weekend at his parent's house. Such a relaxing time when we go down there -- MeeMaw just completely takes charge and I get to breath. And trust me, after last week, I needed some time to breath. Kadence has become so independent overnight and her little personality just continues to unravel. She's very strong headed and stubborn like her parents :)
We got to go to the lake on Saturday and enjoy what little sunshine we had for the weekend. Baby K continues to love the water and splashing! Thought she was sunburn until we got home and realized that we'd missed that bullet. Thank God!
She's eatting like a horse lately -- not sure if it's a growth spurt or if she's going along so fast, she just doesn't realize she's full. Either way, every meal this weekend consisted of 2 jars of food and/or 2 bottles and/or snacks. Any and all combinations of that. She also had a little table food -- cilantro rice from fajita night and some yogurt from Pinkberry.
The weather dropped to the mid 50's towards the end of the long weekend and it was rainy, so we had to bust out the long sleeve stuff for her. Thank goodness MeeMaw had a couple outfits up her sleeve and Nana/Papi had bought her some new stuff before they came down. Got to go shopping yesterday for some more stuff and snagged some really good deals @ Carter's. Kinda looking forward to dressing her in some cute fall clothes :)
Most exciting part of this somewhat blase update is that she has officially started saying "mama" -- yes!!! I am one proud mama for sure. It's so cute watching her concentrate so hard on the word..but it's cute nevertheless.
Here's a couple fun pictures to tide everyone over until the next update xoxo

Haircut + More.
So I broke down and finally went to get Kadence's hair cut on Wednesday. Yes, I said hair cut. I know she's barely 9 months old, but her bangs were to the bottom of her little eye balls and every time she drooled, all the hair in front of her ears would stick to her face. So I took her to my girl Kim and a little snip snip here and there and it was done :) She was a champ..didn't cry or fuss, was just mesmerized by Kim though and the scissors haha Funny side note, when we got there, blow dryers were going off everywhere. But it didn't bother her since we've been working on that on at home. Well, Kim went to go wash MeeMaw's hair and while they were in the back, the blow dryers turned off. And you could hear the music overhead...and Kadence started going NUTS to Darius Rucker..and by nuts, I mean dancing and bouncing everywhere. haha
Later that day, we were in Costco in the check out line, and out of no where (and I mean no where) she started waving. To herself :) But she's got the motion down pat and she's finally reached this little milestone. She's been just randomly waving now for the last 2 days..at all the wrong times haha
{video coming soon}
Last little shed of fun -- I took her out of her crib this morning (she's started reaching up recently for you to grab her..so cute) and I swear she said MA. Just once..and with a huge smile on her face. While I was changing her, I kept saying "mama mama mama" but she just smiled and raspberried me :) Oh well. Still trying with this one.
