Hmm, since the last update. Well, we went to the lake again on Saturday -- MeeMaw had to work, so we didn't get out there till almost 2pm and it was amazing and so beautiful! We've found a little secluded spot where we can float in the middle of a little finger off the lake..and we're surrounded by trees and huge hills. It makes me feel as though we're not in Tennessee anymore. It was a little too cloudy and chilly for KK to get in the water, so we corralled her with a cooler and a gate on the boat. Don't think she even noticed that she was missing out from swimming :) We opened the cooler at one point to get some drinks out and she reached in and started playing with the ice. It was too fun watching her to close it back up right away so we let her just pop ice in her mouth and then watched her spit it right out. She probably did that for about an hour before she sat down and started playing with all the melting pieces underneath her. Needless to say, by the end of the afternoon she was soaked! We started heading back around dusk and it was pretty breezy and slightly cold, so we put her in a dry outfit, blanket sleeper with feet and a jacket with the hood up :) Watching her on daddy's lap in the front of the boat on the way back was a good moment to remember!!
Trying some new things in the food world for her -- she still loves her puffs and yogurt drops -- I've been doing a lot of ordering thru Drugstore.com which everyone should check out that doesn't mind ordering stuff online. Free shipping over $25 AND tax free for us in Tennessee..so I've been getting formula, finger foods and other personal items sent to us about every other week -- PLUS it puts $$ in her UPromise account for college. I'm loving it!! Anyways, back to the foods..haha I've been contemplating getting some of the "pouches" of baby food for a couple months now. They seem easier to travel with and they have some really unique flavors. Well, BabiesRUs had a great deal on (2) 6-pack boxes, so I decided to buy some of the Plum Baby brand and I bought the "special" spoon set they had. Basically it's a 2 pack with a travel case that you just screw on the end of the packs and then squeeze and feed :) I got Pumpkin Banana and Broccoli Apple! Figured if she didn't like 'em, I'd eat 'em! But she loves them and they've made eating solids in public so much easier since her and I are always on the go!
On to other news..sorry for that ^ long winded rant up there -- Kadence has a little bit of a cold. She woke up Tuesday night several times screaming and I could tell by her forehead that she had a slight fever and that she had a runny/stopped up nose. The next morning Jason ran out and bought a new thermometer because ours was broken (conveniently) and we finally got a read on what we were working with. She was only at a low 99 degrees..so I made sure I bundled her and babied her all day -- we did a little shopping so she could get some fresh air and I plugged in her humidifer and Vapor rubbed her last night and she slept soundly. She doesn't seem to have much congestion today and her forehead isn't so hot. Thank God, I think we missed another bullet with this one!
Ooo Ooo, real quick before I forget -- I ordered almost 500 prints thru Snapfish this week (I recommend Shutterfly after getting my pictures back btw) and I will be getting pictures out to everyone this next week -- so all the grandparents and great grandparents (and Auntie Amanda and Ruthanne)..be looking in the mail for them :)
Guess that's it for now. Looking forward to this weekend. Weather is starting to get beautiful and Kadence is finally going to get to meet another set of her Great Grandparents tomorrow. Should be fun :)

Auntie Amanda will be waiting, she needs one for her bulletin board at work :)
